About the Congress
The goal of the Mathematical Congress of the Americas (MCA) is to internationally highlight the excellence of mathematical achievements in the Americas and foster collaborations among researchers, students, institutions and mathematical societies in the Americas.
The first MCA was staged by Centro de Investigación en Matemáticas, A.C. (CIMAT) and held in Guanajuato, Mexico, from August 5 to 9, 2013. This inaugural congress was well received and garnered the participation of about 1,000 mathematicians and students from all over the Americas and other parts of the world. The richness of the congress is well illustrated on the MCA 2013 web site: http://www.mca2013.org/.
